Adexen was mandated by a leading real estate and construction Company to recruit an experienced Head of Supply Chain and Equipment Maintenance for their operations in Nigeria. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
Ensure the supply chain, logistics operations and Equipment Maintenance function properly across the projects
Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the overall supply chain strategy in order to maximise efficiency and productivity.
Responsible for the storage of materials required for our housing construction projects.
As Head of Equipment Maintenance, you will oversee and lead maintenance procedures and actions
Overseetheentiresupplychainforthecompany,includingtheprocurementand inventory management of all Company sites,
Driveandmanagestock takes to ensure effective inventory management is being conducted
Actively find, and then drive the negotiation process with suppliers and vendors to constantly find better deals for the company
Negotiate contract terms with key / strategic suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from operation and development teams
Directly manage procurement officers and stores supervisors on each site (day-to-day management undertaken by the Project Manager of the site)
Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
Create, review and implement supply chain procedures and policies that align to the company’s mission
Identifyoptimaldelivery,shipmentand/ortransportationrouteswithattentionto consolidation of warehousing and distribution to different project sites
Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective
Review and Implement the company’s Equipment Maintenance procedure
Lead the Equipment Maintenance team (Equipment Maintenance supervisor)
Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
Keep maintenance logs and report related to equipments
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a recognised university
Master's degree is a plus
Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager within a large Group
Experience in equipment maintenance (extensive mechanical knowledge is a plus)
Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
Hands on Experience with Supply chain management software (eg. SAP...)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain mutuallybeneficial working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers and customers
Demonstrate experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasingleadershipdeliveringeffectivepurchasingstrategies,policies,processesand systems,
