Adexen was mandated by an international logistics company to recruit an Expatriate Branch Manager for their operations in Angola. The position is based in Luanda.
Responsibilities
Supervise the company operations, incl. logistics, yard storage, transit, transportation, shipping, warehousing, husbandry...
Track and pursue any business opportunity in his geographical area
Build & adapt the logistics services offered
Maintain and develop the relationships with top clients & potential ones
Provide and/or revise quotations and tenders (technical risk, top client, high return, projected profitability...).
Appraisal of clients requesting credit conditions
In charge of the subcontractors relationship (agreement, KPI's, diligence)
Operational management of the local team : assessment, training, induction program, company compliance policy, communication and team leadership
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree
At least 10 years experience in the Logistics, Forwarding, Transit, Supply Chain or Services industry
Minimum 5 years experience in a senior management role within an international company
Previous experience as a Branch Manager will be a plus
Previous experience in emerging markets / Angola will be a plus
Proficiency in written & oral Portugese
