The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities on site, ensuring that the project is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule and in accordance with quality requirements. The role requires strong leadership capabilities and extensive experience managing complex building projects involving multiple subcontractors and disciplines.
The Construction Manager will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating all on-site construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and construction supervisors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensuring compliance with approved construction schedules and project milestones.
- Monitoring daily site operations and proactively resolving construction challenges.
- Coordinating civil, structural, architectural, finishing and MEP activities.
- Reviewing construction methods and ensuring adherence to project specifications and drawings.
- Managing site productivity and optimizing workforce performance.
- Ensuring effective planning and coordination of materials, equipment and labor resources.
- Conducting regular progress meetings with site teams and subcontractors.
- Monitoring quality standards and ensuring corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
- Supporting project planning and reporting activities through accurate progress updates.
- Enforcing strict compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Identifying risks, potential delays and bottlenecks and implementing mitigation measures.
- Collaborating closely with project management, engineering, procurement and commercial teams.
- Participating in testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
