Head of Build Business Unit - Expatriate

Job Introduction

    Adexen has been mandated by one of its clients in the Construction Industry to recruit an Expatriate Head of Build Business Unit for its operations in Africa. The position is based in Abidjan 

Responsibilities

    Management:

    • to assemble, grow & manage the best Build team in Africa
    • To be a safety champion and lead by example
    • to put in place top-notch processes
    • to implement best-in-class systems, control & reporting
    • to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction
    • to meet & exceed the business plan
    • to build strategic partnerships in key trades / countries

    Execution:

    • Commercial Role: to build / expand a network of both direct & indirect sales of Occupier & Landlord clients with the objective to generate business for the Build BU
    • Coordination Role: to liaise / deal with the Client (internally or externally); to coordinate & manage the various relevant internal teams and / or external partners; to constantly monitor & improve the quality of the bid submitted
    • to coordinate and manage the various Departments / Teams across the continent to ensure a proper execution of the project

Desired Skills and Experience

    • 10 years + of experience in a leading international interior fit out contracting firm
    • Outstanding technical skills
    • Excellent B-to-B Sales & Business Development skills or potential
    • Excellent & proven managerial capacities or potential
    • Fluent in English and French is a must. Portuguese is a plus
    • Passionate about Africa and the future of Africa. African business experience is a strong plus.
    • Ambitious / high-growth mentality
    • Passionate / Hard working / Self driven & pro-active / Autonomous & reliable / Go getter & Can-do attitude / Quick & keen learner / Agile & Lean
