Job Introduction

    Adexen was mandated by one of its clients in the Oil & Gas Consulting industry to recruit an expatriate Resident Manager. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

    The Resident Manager will manage the group subsidiary in Nigeria. He will report to the CEO for Africa. The Resident Manager will travel in Nigeria and neighboring countries.

    The main missions are:

    • Ensure the sustainability and development of the group's interests in Nigeria
    • Ensure the compliance of the Group's processes and methods in Nigeria
    • In charge of the strategy and objectives set by the Group

    Main activity:

    • Preparation and management of the budget of the subsidiary
    • Local business development
    • Commercial follow-up of the operations developed by the Group
    • Monitoring Group's operations and projects in Nigeria, especially the logistics and environment of expatriates
    • Administrative, human and financial management of the company
    • Reporting
    • Ensure the safety of the agents and employees of the Group

    Commercial activity:

    • Prospection and business development of the Group's activities and service lines
    • Customers follow up
    • Represent the company to customers, employees and local governements

    Administrative activity:

    • Manage the subsidiary with headquarters support
    • Responsible for maintaining the administrative records of the company : authorizations and work permits, local salaries, declarations and representations to the administrative authorities, including tax authority
    • Carefully follow customer regulations and various recoveries

Desired Skills and Experience

    • Master's degree in Economics/Administration
    • 5 years professional experience in a similare role within an international group
    • Working experience in Africa, ideally in Nigeria
    • Required skills: negotiation, adaptation, customer service oriented, organised, team player
    • French command will be a plus
