Adexen was mandated by a leading construction company to recruit a Senior Electrical Manager for its activities in Nigeria. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
To supervise the construction and delivery of the company’s electrical projects in medium voltage& low Voltage
Electrical works for buildings (Offices, Hotels, Hospitals, Mixed use developments)
Ensuring works accordance with the design documents & specifications & bill of quantities.
Pro-actively manage the site teams through self-monitoring performance.
Achieves optimal electrical system operational efficiency by developing and maintaining electrical systems.
Plans electrical projects by determining specifications, selecting contractors, establishing installation schedules, planning shut-downs and installations, integrating architectural and mechanical design specifications, and updating cost estimates.
Completes electrical projects by supervising installations and resolving design issues.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering
Master's degree is a plus
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within an international company
Mature determined, resilient character with integrity, reliability and resourcefulness.
Experienced in installation and supervising electrical systems required for the installation, interconnection, and control of electrical and mechanical components using applicable building codes, including lighting & power distribution systems, low voltage systems (fire alarm systems, telecommunications/data networks, lighting control systems, power monitoring systems, etc.), sizing of equipment, etc
Able to work with people at all levels from project manager to workmen.
Good management skills, good health, technical background.
A previous experience in Emerging Countries / Africa is a plus.
