Chief People Officer - Expatriate

Job Introduction

Adexen was mandated by a leading network of international schools to recruit an expatriate Chief People Officer (CPO), speaking fluently French and English. The position can be based in Johannesburg, South Africa or in Ivory Coast.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building an exceptional team of professionals and creating a stellar employee experience.
• Is an essential culture advocate and brand builder to irrigate the group values in every layer of the organisation and plays a driving role to create a welcoming, energizing, and rewarding place to work.
• In charge of optimizing all people-centered activities including hiring, training, career development, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR administration. 
• Is a member of the leadership committee, reports to the CEO and supervises the central People team.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Speak fluently French and English
• Master's degree from a recognised university
• Demonstrate passion for Sub-Saharan Africa and share excitement to offer a top-notch education to the African middle-class
• Have a vision for developing the human capital function, through attracting best talents and developing world class systems
• Have strong experience in building teams in people-centered organisations
• Have the empathy and authenticity to take required decisions
