SUNY Empire State College, SUNY's only statewide college, educates 17,000 students worldwide at eight international sites, at locations in every region of New York state, online, as well as face-to-face and through a blend of both, at the associate, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.

The average age of an undergraduate student at the college is 34 and the average age of a graduate student is 40.

Most SUNY Empire students are working adults. Many are raising families and meeting civic commitments in the communities where they live, while studying full-time or part-time.
