Centerra Gold is a Canadian-based gold mining company engaged in operating, developing, acquiring and exploring gold properties in North America, Asia and other markets worldwide. Centerra Gold operates two mines, the Mount Milligan Mine in northern British Columbia, Canada, and Öksüt Mine in Turkey.
Additionally, the Company operates its Molybdenum Business Unit in the United States and owns the Kumtor Mine in the Kyrgyz Republic, which is currently not under the Company's control. Centerra Gold's shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under the symbol CG and on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the symbol CGAU. The Company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In 2020, Centerra Gold produced 824,059 ounces of gold and 82.8 million pounds of copper from its three operating mines, Kumtor, Mount Milligan and Öksüt. In 2018 the Company completed the acquisition and integration of AuRico Metals Inc. which added the Kemess Project, a de-risked late-stage brownfield project in northern British Columbia, Canada. In addition, the Company has exploration joint ventures or properties in Canada, Finland, Turkey and the United States.
Centerra Gold's goal is to grow its annual gold and copper production and build shareholder value by maximizing the potential of its current properties, add additional operating platforms, expand its portfolio of exploration properties and continue to increase its reserves and resources.
