EKÓ SUSTAINABLE CITY is proposed to be a ZERO ENERGY , CARBON FREE Community with a practical implementation of Social, Economic and Environmental Sustainability practices. The City will embody the true meaning of Sustainability through Stakeholders engagement, smart designs and Energy Solutions and also future monitoring to sustain itself. It will comprise of various land uses ie Residential, Commercial, Retail, Educational, Urban Farming, Leisure, Health Care and Ecology Institute.
The EKÓ Sustainable City will build an enduring legacy in Nigeria by developing a first-of-its-kind fully-sustainable community from the environmental, economic and social aspects.
In this context we see Sustainable Development as a way of human lifestyles in which The use of resources now to meet our needs should be focused towards preserving the environment, so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come.
