Hôpital Aristide Le Dantec, CHU Dakar was established in 2001.
The Hospital's main objectives are to better the diagnosis and treatment of cancers especially childhood cancers and to create a paediatric oncology centre. This second objective became a reality with UICC's "My Child Matters" initiative.
In August 2008, the Hospital became associate UICC member.
