The NLNG – COOP is a credit and thrift society registered in August 2003 under the Nigerian Co-operative Societies Degree 90 of 1993 by Rivers State Ministry of Commerce and Industry with a membership of 959 employees of NLNG as at 31st December 2018.
The organisation has a total asset base in excess of Fifteen Billion Naira as at year-end 2018, and reports in accordance with the international financial reporting standards (IFRS). It is mainly engaged in thrift savings, the provision of loans, and other collective investments for the benefit of its members.
NLNG Staff Coop has over 1,000 active Members.
The Co-operative is a unique business democratically run by members. Members of the Management Committee are elected by the members and they have two year tenure.
