The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) is working to deliver safe, clean, efficient and reliable electricity to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) using nuclear energy. This carbon-free electricity is needed to support the UAE’s social and economic growth.
ENEC owns and is responsible for building the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant. Once fully operational, the plant will provide up to a quarter of the country’s electricity demand and prevent up to 21 million tons of carbon emissions annually, equivalent to removing 3.2 million cars from the nation’s roads.
