Publiseer helps independent African writers, musicians, and filmmakers, from low-income communities, earn above the minimum wage and live above the poverty line from the sales of their works. The word 'Publiseer' is a pun on the word 'publisher', and it also means 'publish' in Afrikaans, a language spoken in Southern Africa.
Publiseer is headquartered in Lagos, with operations in Accra, Nairobi, Cape Town, and Cairo.
