The company commenced the provision of Marine transportation logistics services in 1992.
IMC Limited has rendered services to companies such as, the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC), Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), ExxonMobil etc.
IMC Limited's backward integration exercise saw the establishment in 2001, of a Lagos facility for the building of fibreglass light marine vessels;the 10.5m Personal Carrier and 13.5m Landing Craft, under licence from RTK Marine, Poole. UK. IMC Limited acquired 2 new standby utility vessels; MV Betty H and MV Mully in 2002, which are currently operated for the SPDC, to serve the offshore terminal at Estuary Clusters of Delta State, Nigeria.
In 2002, IMC Limited won the contract to manage, operate and maintain all SPDC-owned Heavy equipment in the west. they included Tugboats, House boats, and barges.
IMC Limited owns and operates a fleet of over 40 light marine vessels for the SPDC;ferrying passengers and goods.
