The concept of the University of Accountancy and Management Studies was construed prior to the year 2000.
In 2001 consultation of the stakeholders was made and final agreement reached in 2002 for the establishment of the University.
The actual establishment process took effect in 2007 following the Federal Government approval of the University.
The University of Accountancy and Management Studies aim to stand a gap between academic and professional programmes and qualifications.
