Helicon Nigeria Limited is an indigenous company fully owned by Nigerians. The company was incorporated on 3rd December 1992 with an initial authorized share capital N1,000,000.00.
Helicon Nigeria Limited has become a household name engaged in supply of beneficiated and Crude Barites to Oil Drilling Companies and other Barite Processing Companies. The status of the company changed from that of Solid Minerals Vendor to a full fledged Mining Company having been granted Certificate of entry into the Mining Industry by the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development in 1997.
And thereafter, started prospecting for Crude Barite. On acquiring a prospecting license, Helicon started a substantive mining operations in Benue and Cross River States. Since then the activities of the company has been expanding with a focus on Industrial Minerals and Processing.
