Halabja Group is a group of multi-sector companies with operating as private sector. Whilst head quarters are based in Sulaymaniyah Governorate/ Kurdistan Region/ Iraq, the company has branches in Erbil, Baghdad, Basra, Duhok and Zakho. In addition, it has overseas registered offices in Dubai (UAE), Mersin (Turkey) and two offices in China. The Company is owned by Mr. Aso Mohammed Ali, a Kurdish businessman from the town of Halabja.
Halabja Group was founded in 2006 to hold all sister companies and projects under an umbrella corporation. Halabja Group companies were established as Limited companies in the early nineties, starting with Halabja General Trading and International Transportation, and then increasing the scope of business to include, industry, Telecommunication, and construction, keeping pace with the rapid development of the region.
The company is under supervision of the Board of Investment and licensed by the General Trading Directory/ Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government under license number 3990, dated 26th June 2006.
