Kobe University is one of the oldest national universities in Japan, tracing its history back to the establishment of Kobe Higher Commercial School in 1902.

Under the university's philosophy of \"integrity, freedom, and cooperation\"​, we aim to contribute to society by disseminating information gained through our education and research.

The university is made up of 10 faculties, 15 graduate schools, one research institute and many centers covering the four disciplines of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and bio-medical sciences.

Currently, there are 1,196 international students from 83 countries and regions studying at Kobe University. We have concluded academic agreements with 302 universities and institutions in 54 countries and regions.
