The School of Advanced Study at the University of London brings together 9 internationally-renowned research institutes to form the UK's national centre for the support of researchers and the pursuit and promotion of research in the humanities. The School also hosts a multidisciplinary centre, the Human Rights Consortium.
The School is the only institution in the UK that is nationally funded to promote and facilitate research in the humanities and receives special funding for this purpose from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
