York College, founded in 1890, is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the churches of Christ. Popular majors include education, business, psychology, sciences, communication and Bible. Multiple pre-professional programs are available. York is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Nebraska Independent College Foundation (NICF).
The York Panthers compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II and the National Christian College Athletic Association. York College is a founding member of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference comprised of 10 liberal arts colleges.
The mission of York College is to transform lives through Christ-centered education and to equip students for lifelong service to God, family and society.
