Aquila Capital Limited is a registered Nigerian Company specializing in equipment leasing for the Nigerian market. The Central Bank of Nigeria supervises the Company’s leasing activities under a Finance House License to Aquila’s fully owned subsidiary Aquila Leasing Limited. Aquila’s fleet services operations are managed by Aquila Logistics Limited, equally owned by Aquila Capital Limited.
Nigerian investors created the Company in December 2004 and since inception, the Company has offered finance leases to its clientele. Over time, the Company has actively introduced new products into the market and has gained a market reputation as a specialized full-fledge lease company.
In 2009/2010, the Company introduced fleet management services and successfully pioneered the provision of this service to the banking sector.
Aquila now ranks amongst Nigeria’s top independent lease operators and it is the market leader in fleet management to the banking and financial sector. The clientele ranges from retail (both individuals and cooperatives and associations) to small and medium sized companies and corporates. The Company has approximately 1000 vehicles under management and it operates countrywide from 3 branches and 3 agencies in proximity to its customers. Aquila employs 547 staff, of which around 67 constitute core staff.
