Adexen is mandated by one of its clients in the FMCG industry to recruit a Key Account Manager - Pharmaceutical. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
The KAM Pharma will build positive and productive customer relationships for beneficial business partnership.
Identify business opportunities in line with assigned product portfolio.
Develop new business whilst achieving sales and profitability through effective management of a defined customer base.
Act strategically and target key sales activities to optimize return on investment in each key account.
Enlist and include products in drug formulary list of key accounts and negotiate for product availability in each key account.
Generate prescriptions by detailing assigned products to health practitioners in his/her portfolio.
Negotiate with customers on pricing, lead-time, order volume and technical issues.
Coordinate sales efforts and provide flow of data on account and competitors to product information.
Provide Product Management with quote information, product quantities needed and booked orders as well as follow up support services.
Ensure sales revenue and profit targets are met.
Demonstrate excellent business skills and leadership effectiveness through tracking and analyzing daily/weekly performance scorecard.
Desired Skills and Experience
First Degree in Social Science or other related fields
Minimum of 7 years relevant selling experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Experience promoting specialty care products, hospital sales or key accounts is preferred.
Leadership skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
Ability to create followership and build a winning team
Business acumen
Good negotiation skills
Excellent Communication Skills (both written and Verbal)
