Job description
The Operations Controller / Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Etablishes a fair business reporting with diagnostic based on facts
- Studies mid-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth
- Performs price/volume analysis on sales and profits. Mesures impact on P&L
The Operations Controller/Business Analyst will report to the Managing Director
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales target for Brands in the assigned Territory.
- Coordinates the variance analysis and contributes to group reporting
- Performs price/volume analysis on sales and profits. Measures impact on P&L
- Performs costs/suppliers analysis on purchased goods and energy supply (gas and electricity)
- Performs liquid and cylinder deliveries costs analysis
- Reports results and makes comments to management committee
- Ensures the strategic planning is credible and well monitored
- Performs investment diagnostic and monitors the decision process
- Identifies gaps with strategic planning & proposes corrective actions
- Defines prices for internal transfer according financial risks
- Enhances the reporting systems based on core processes
- Defines internal pricing policy and controls the application in particular for the month-end process
- Analyses gaps between prices and standard
- Proposes corrective actions using bonus/malus compensation
- Uses reporting systems based on core processes to give managers the required data to make decisions and monitor performance.
- Suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate
- Reviews timely the business initiatives and projects performances, compares their business case and planning to achievement
- Identifies gap and causes of gap such as priority level, resources, project management
- Applies with discipline the best practices to project and initiative management
- Periodically monitors, analyses and summarises the profit and loss account, cash flow, balance sheet, investments and others specific indicators linked to the business plan (profit per products) in close relation with Cluster Finance Manager
Qualifications et experience
- Must have a Bsc in Business or Finance related courses and a Masters degree will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years in a Business and Financial management role
- Strong knowledge of the Company Business, key drivers within the business cycle, strategic planning
- Know-how on operational levers to activate for performance enhancement
- Accounting and financial skills
- Know-how on ERP and Office systems to quantify and illustrate Financial reports, impacts and projections
- Good Managerial skills and behaviour
- Analyze accurately trends, problems and cause-effects Relationship
- Measuring progress, anticipating and taking initiative to overcome challenges
- Understanding and communicating clearly the strategy
- Provides instruction, resources and guidance as a way to support success.
- Ability to dialog with a management team
- Good organization skills
