Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading international beverage company. The company is looking to engage a General Manager for its Nigerian operations.
Job description
The General Manager will be responsible and accountable for all line and staff activities within his area which are required for effective manufacturing sales and distribution of company products. He produces annual business plans for his area and ensures its implementation.
He provides strategic leadership, team spirit and the drive to ensure achievement of company objectives.
The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria
Responsibilities
- Responsible for projections of area annual sales and marketing plan
- Ensuring maintenance of standards and quality product and service delivery throughout the area
- Ensuring all promotional, advertising and marketing plan are according to plan
- Annual Projections for production plant and implementations
- Ensure constant standard efficiencies in terms of machines, material yields, labour and over heads.
- Overall Fleet management in terms of plan, policies, maintenance programmes
- Overall management of Engineering services in terms of policies, plans and
- Overall management of Quality Assurance in terms of plans, policies and deliverables
- Preparation of consolidated budgets, annual business plan, period performance and management information
- Inauguration and monitoring of plant performance system inclusive of all business unit KPI’s
- Liaison and management of all HRM activities
- Training, coaching and supervision of the front line managers
Qualifications et experience
- Minimum of a University degree from a recognized institution
- MBA is necessary
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a large conglomerate preferably in FMCG
- Experience in Sales, finance and manufacturing in senior management roles.
- Strong managerial, financial planning and operational skills
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong display of character and integrity
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure
