Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a recognized shipping agent acting as a major player in the Nigerian Maritime Sector to recruit an Assistant Branch Manager for one of its key projects in Onne Port Harcourt.
Job description
The Assistant Branch Manager will be responsible for handling major functions of the company, Lead the operational team within the office and assist in the office administration as needed.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
- Oversee all operations as related to vessels
- Liaison with regulatory authorities (Customs, Immigration, NDLEA, Port Health etc)
- Liaison with Nigerian Ports Authority with respect to the securing of Pilots and other Marine Related matters

- Liaison with Nigerian Ports Authority with respect to the securing of Pilots and other Marine Related matters
- Liaison with the Container Terminal with respect to berthing and operation
- Liaison with the company vessels prior to arrival and also involve on all aspects of vessels and landside operations
- Liaises with Lagos management, and the regional office
Qualifications et experience
- Qualified to degree level (or equivalent)
- 6- 10 years of experience within same industry/sector
- Must possess high level of written English (emails are vital in this role)
- Must be a good team player and have ability to work for and with the Branch manager
- Must be computer literate
- Candidate should be analytical in mindset,
- Should be outspoken on their views to improve things and hold others accountable
- Must possess good Leadership & interpersonal skills
